About Dr. John M. Beiner
Dr. John M. Beiner is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty training in spine surgery, practicing in Branford, Connecticut. He earned his Bachelor of Science in General Biology, cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of California, San Diego in 1992, and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Yale University School of Medicine in 1997, graduating as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha — the medical honor society recognizing academic excellence. Following a General Surgery internship and a full Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Yale University School of Medicine (1997–2002), Dr. Beiner completed a Spine Surgery fellowship at the Rothman Institute, Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia (2002–2003), one of the nation's preeminent spine surgery training programs. Dr. Beiner holds an active Connecticut Medical License and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He serves as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at Yale University School of Medicine, and as an Attending Surgeon at the Hospital of St. Raphael's and Yale New Haven Hospital. He is an active member of the North American Spine Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
